People team structure

Our County Volunteering Development Team makes sure all volunteers in County teams have a fantastic volunteering experience. By doing so, they’ll make it easy for people to join and learn new skills.

The team is also responsible for developing and providing support on a range of topics that sit outside of our programme.

This area looks after

  • Attract and welcome new volunteers to the County teams

  • Supporting the Young Leader Scheme

  • Help volunteers across the County (and in County teams) with learning

  • Provision of central learning opportunities
    (e.g. First Response)

  • Volunteering awards support and
    informal recognition schemes

  • The County Youth Team

  • Inclusion, safety, safeguarding, & data management support

    The role of the County Youth Team is to represent young people in decision making all across the county. The team supports the leaders in the county with resources and ideas so that young people are able to shape their scouting experience; with running youth forums.
